Christina & Oscar – Culture Overload

I had the pleasure of spending some time with Christina & Oscar these past few weeks.  If you didn’t get to see their engagement photos you are in for a treat!  They photograph beautifully! Christina comes from a very diverse background, growing up in Sweden but keeping her Hakka (a fusion of Indian and Chinese) roots.  Oscar, with Swedish blood will add a third ethnicity to the family.

Here is a little teaser that will hopefully be a small taste of what’s to come!

Lisa & Sumeet – Just Dance

I had met Lisa and Sumeet at a wedding I had shot the previous year.   It was my second time shooting an Indian event and I must say WOW!  The colours, events and interactions always made for a great time! From Sangeet to the Mehndi to the actual ceremony its action packed.  It was another great experience.  Did I mention there is a tonne of DANCING! Special thanks to Sam Obeid for second shooting these with me.

Christina & Oscar – They call me “City”

Christina & Oscar are an extremely fun loving couple.  Smiles is the best way to describe them. They flew to Toronto all the way from Sweden in order to celebrate their marriage with Christina’s family who moved to Toronto years ago. This past weekend we had a chance to shoot their engagement at the Harbor Front in the heart of Toronto, then finished up at Bruce’s Mill in Stouffville. It wasn’t even 5 minutes into the session before we were cracking jokes and having a blast.

Our love of food was the topic of choice where we exchanged recipes for our favorite dishes and discussed delicacies derived from all over the world.  We got so hungry talking about food that we ended up at a local sushi house in Markham before heading home.  The grin on Oscar’s face was priceless!  I think it was safe to say we were all very satisfied at the end of the meal.  I am very excited to share their intimate celebration this weekend before they head back to Sweden.
